For You, My Dear: The Past（英文介紹）
Concept
“The Past,” combining drama, puppetry and dance, is a story of love and family that spans over 50 years.
The playwright pays tributes to Anton Chekhov’s style – the characters have plain, but realistic lives. The performance uses water as the main concept to resemble the loss of time, death and how to let go. The relationship between the leading characters is a hidden storyline, the Chinese folklore “ Love Amongst War.” The main storyline and the hidden storyline resonate with each other; sometimes the puppets are the characters and sometimes they become the main images. The director has expanded the traditionally limited performing space of puppet theaters. Dance is used to express fragments of memories; it speaks for the indescribable situations. With music, dances take the audience on trips from the 60’s to present Taiwan.

“掌中歲月 (The Past) ” is a collaborative form of performing arts which include contemporary dance, Taiwan traditional music and “Taiwan Glove Puppet”. Today, “人从众” creates a possibility to merge the contemporary and the traditional, telling a simple and memorable love story of a puppet show entertainer. The show is in mandarin and Taiwanese, which is also embracing the beauty of Taiwanese local dialects. It is also produced for all audience from different walks of life.

Note：“Taiwan Glove Puppet” is a type of Chinese opera that uses man operated glove puppets to tell popular folk tales backs in 17 century.
About Lyric's Studio
Lyric's Studio is established by 2010, in Chinese character “人从众”, the name of this organization is made up by “人”，which mean people. This indicates production of Lyric's Studio are mainly about human and humanity, for example, humanity care, social issues and self exploration. Lyric's Studio insists on the idea "takes the people as the basis”. The troupe consist of many talents from different art industry, including drama, dance, education, law and marketing, hoping that Lyric's Studio strive for creative people to create creativity for a better world.
